Following Guidance Entries

What guidance entries are, how to mark them complete, and how they track your progress.

What Are Guidance Entries?

Guidance entries are individual tasks and tips within each Playbook phase. They provide specific, actionable information about what to do and watch for during each stage of construction.

Types of Information

Each guidance entry may include:

  • **Why It Matters** — Context about why this step is important
  • **QC Checklist** — Quality control items to verify before moving on
  • **Stop Alert** — Critical warnings that could lead to costly mistakes
  • **Vendor Script** — Suggested questions to ask your subcontractors

Tracking Progress

As you complete guidance entries, your phase progress bar updates automatically. This gives you a visual indicator of how far along you are in each phase.

> TIP: Don't just check off guidance entries — actually read the "Why It Matters" section. Understanding the reasoning behind each step makes you a better project manager.
