Inviting Team Members and Setting Roles
Invite collaborators, understand the 4 roles, and manage notifications.
Quick path
**Manage Team** → **Invite** → enter the email, choose the role → create the invite link, then send it.
Invitations expire after **7 days**. You can revoke one at any time, and create as many as you need.
Who you can invite from Manage Team
- **Partner** — full project access, no billing and no team management
- **Banker** — read-only financial visibility, plus Schedule of Values and to-dos
- **Collaborator** — you choose read, write or none for each feature area
What about the homeowner you are building for?
**Manage Team** invites partners, bankers and collaborators. It cannot invite a homeowner as a **Client**, and there is no other route available to you: the client portal is a private facility operated by OwnerDraw's administrator for that company's own building clients, not a feature of your account. If you are building for someone else and want them to have a view of the job, invite them as **Banker** or **Collaborator** and choose what each feature area shows.
What happens when someone accepts
They see your project name and the role they were invited to. If they already have an OwnerDraw account they sign in and accept; otherwise they create an account first, then accept, and land on the project.
Managing your team
From **Manage Team** you can see who has access and their role, remove a member, see which invites are still pending, and revoke a pending invite.
Removing a member cuts their access immediately. Everything they recorded — expenses, to-dos, notes — stays in the project.
Common questions
**Can I change someone's role after they join?** Remove them and send a new invite with the role you want.
**Can one person be on several projects?** Yes, with a different role on each.
**Do the people I invite pay for OwnerDraw?** No. They use your subscription at no extra cost.
**How many can I invite?** One Partner per project; any number of Bankers and Collaborators.
