Setting Up Your First Project
Walkthrough of project creation including project name, address, build type, and lender info.
Create a New Project
1. After logging in, click **New Project** from the Dashboard
2. Enter your **project name** (e.g., "Smith Family Home")
3. Add your **project address** and zip code
4. Select your **build type** (custom home, spec home, renovation)
Project Details
- **Funding Type** — Select whether you have a construction loan or are self-funding
- **Lender Name** — If using a construction loan, enter your bank or lender's name
- **Total Loan Amount** — The approved loan amount for your construction project
- **Retainage Percentage** — Typically 5-10%, this is the amount your bank holds back from each draw until project completion
> TIP: Have your loan documents handy when setting up your project. The more complete your project details, the better your Bank Ready packets will look.
What Happens Next
Once your project is created, you'll land on the Dashboard where you can start building your budget and exploring the Playbook.
