Tracking Draw Status
How draw requests move through Draft, Sent to Bank, and Funded — and what to do at each stage.
Tracking Draw Status
Every draw request moves through a simple, three-state lifecycle so you always know exactly where it stands.
The Three States
- **Draft** — You're still preparing the draw request. You can edit line items, add expenses, attach receipts, and re-run pre-flight validation.
- **Sent to Bank** — You've generated the G702/G703 packet and marked the draw as sent. The packet is locked from edits to preserve the audit trail. Use this status while you wait on your lender.
- **Funded** — The bank has released the funds. Mark the draw funded and enter the deposit date and net amount received (after retainage). All included expenses are reconciled and removed from the "available to draw" pool automatically.
Where to See Status
- **Draws page** — every draw shows its current status badge.
- **Dashboard** — pending and funded totals roll up into the project health snapshot.
- **Bank Ready** — the latest draw status is referenced in your loan packet.
What to Do at Each Stage
- **In Draft?** Run the **Pre-Flight Validation** check before sending — it catches missing waivers, unmapped cost codes, and over-budget lines.
- **Sent to Bank?** Email the generated PDF packet to your lender. Re-open the draw to download the PDF again any time.
- **Funded?** Confirm the deposit landed, mark it funded, and the system updates your remaining loan balance.
> TIP: Don't skip "Sent to Bank" by jumping straight to Funded. Using the intermediate state gives you a clean audit trail your bank will appreciate.
