Changing Your Password

Step-by-step password change and password reset via email.

Reason: the live body describes a **Change Password** button, a **current password** field and an
eight-character minimum. The real form asks only for a new password and a confirmation, with a
six-character minimum. Apply at release; do not change the slug, title or URL.

Change your password while signed in

1. Open the top-right menu → **Profile**.
2. Under **Change Password**, type your new password in **New password** — six characters minimum.
3. Re-type it in **Confirm password**.
4. Select **Update password**.

You will see **Password updated**, and you stay signed in. Use the new password the next time you
sign in, on every device.

Your current password is not requested, because you are already signed in. If the two boxes do not
match, or the password is too short, you are told and nothing is changed.

If you have forgotten your password

1. On the sign-in page, use the forgotten-password link.
2. Enter the email address on the account.
3. Open the email OwnerDraw sends and follow its link.
4. Set the new password on the page it opens.

Recovery links are single-use and time-limited. If one has expired, request another.
